EMBRACING MENOPAUSE with LISA GOLDSTEIN, CANDY RUITENBERG & MARLENE JONES: New Date to be Announced Soon
For all women looking to ease the transition of all phases of menopause through the practice of yoga, this workshop is for you! Candy, Lisa, and Leadership/Life Coach Marlene Jones have created this workshop to guide you to a celebration of the time in our lives when we are moving into our "wisdom years."
Using yoga as a tool to bring greater awareness, we've cultivated a specific asana (postural) sequence, as well as special pranayama (breathing) techniques and creative visualization practices to alleviate and embrace the changes we face in body, mind, and spirit. This workshop will place us on a path of radiant health to hormonal balance, improved bone density, relief of hot flashes, and other symptoms associated with menopause. Learn energizing postures to boost the endocrine system, and relax and breathe using the support of props.
The workshop will begin with a simple body scan to promote relaxation and self-compassion, as well as boost the immune system. Participants will learn to use the guidelines from this workshop to develop a customized home practice. Women of all ages and stages of menopause are welcome, as well those new to the practice of yoga.
Copies of the physical sequence and instructions for the pranayama techniques will be provided to all students of this workshop.
