THE ZEN GARLAND WAY with ROSHI PAUL GENKI KAHN: Wednesday May 7th in Ramsey
THE ZEN GARLAND WAY
Spiritual Development & The Practice of Presence with Roshi Paul Genki Kahn
Wednesdays, April 23rd & May 7th, 7:45 pm-9:00 pm, in Ramsey
Are you looking for a way to develop a tranquil flow of being, engage life more consistently with intelligence, compassion and joy?
The Zen Garland Way offers a path of spiritual development that provides holistic and practical skill sets grounded in the moment, centered in presence, and maintaining an intimate relatedness in the discipline of worldly life – working a job, nurturing and sustaining family and friends, paying bills. Techniques taught in the classes to build these skill sets include:
• graduated forms of meditation
• embodiment practices
• Eastern and Western psychological processes
• existential learning through Zen koans and texts
Spirituality is about becoming an openhearted and wise human being, not about being religious. The effort can be understood as awakening a non-dual approach to consciousness that allows unity with the infinite dimensions of reality. More simply, the Zen Garland Way encourages living life with passion, intention and care.
Suggested donation: $10.00
The classes will be lead by Roshi Paul Genki Kahn, a Zen Buddhist priest and Master Teacher in the Soto lineage of Taizan Maezmi Roshi and Founder of Zen Garland: An Interfaith Community & Order for Zen Practice, Education and Service.
