Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living by Pema Chodron is a handbook for cultivating fearlessness and awakening a compassionate heart. We will discuss chapters 119, 20, 21 and 22 and do a meditation practice.

Experience the magic of live music – powerful Sanskrit chants set to modern melodies – while you practice yoga with Raji Thron. Let go and let your yoga flow through the beats and rhythms of Girish’s soul-stirring tunes. Class ends with a Sanskrit lullaby during savasana followed by one call and response chant. This is a truly magical and incredible music and yoga experience that allows you to go deeper into your practice and your body.

A YIN YASANA WORKSHOP with MICHELE SAPANARO: Sunday, September 25th
Yin Yasana is a dynamic combination of Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. The workshop will begin with a vinyasa flow that has an emphasis on creativity and alignment, combined with intelligent sequencing that is guided by a steady breath to warm and open all the muscles of the body. AN EVENING with SWAMI KRIPANANDA: NEW DATE - Friday, August 12th
This evening will consist of a postural yoga practice to open and align bodily energy followed by a shaktipat-healing meditation. All levels welcome.
(Shaktipat is described by the yogic texts as an initiation that activates an inner unfolding of awareness that leads to progressively higher states of consciousness.)
Registration fee: $40 per person pre-registration; $45 per person day of.

Through yoga, we learn to link our breath with movement, helping us to focus, increase our attention span and flexibility, improve concentration and strengthen our muscles. Yoga is the perfect complement to any school sport and helps us do better in school.
