HEADSTAND WORKSHOP with KELLY SOLLOWAY: Saturday, April 30th

TURN YOUR WORLD UPSIDE DOWN!

Sirsasana, or headstand, is known by many yoga traditions as the “king of all asanas” because of its profound psychic, physical, and psychological effects. This can be a very challenging posture for many yoga practitioners. In this workshop you will learn how to approach a headstand in a safe and effective way, using proper body alignment with emphasis on how to work with balance rather than strength, variations and modifications, and much more.

THE VIBRATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF SANSKRIT, EXPLORING THE SACRED LANGUAGE OF SANSKRIT with PREMA SHAKTI: Friday, March 25th

Prema Shakti will delve into the Sanskrit alphabet, basic classical mantras, mantras on Sankhya Yoga in the Bhagavad Gita and selections from the Yoga Sutras. Come prepared to have a deep, meditative, sound healing experience.

GENTLE/RESTORATIVE YOGA BY CANDLELIGHT with LISA GOLDSTEIN: Friday, April 15th

Enjoy a quiet, gentle, restorative practice by candlelight - focusing on relaxing the body, breath and mind. Treat yourself to this class to help focus your awareness on your own inner light and to end the week in a way that calms the body and mind.

THE NEXT YOGA SYNTHESIS TEACHER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM with RAJI THRON: begins May 4th

Wednesdays: May 4th, May 18th and May 25th
12:30-4:30 pm

The Mentorship Program is a series of three interactive classes for teachers to get direct and compassionate feedback while working hands-on with other teachers. This experience will help to refine teaching instructions, delivery and adjustment skills. For teachers from any basic training interested in improving their directing of posture, movement, breath and awareness to create a deep profound yoga experience.

MERIDIAN YOGA, PRESSURE POINTS AND ENERGY WORK FOR THE STOMACH AND SPLEEN with TARA FARLEY: Sunday, March 13th

This class is part of a series of classes to help us learn more about the internal organs and how they effect the external body.

We will learn the meridian lines and some yoga poses that correlate with the stomach and spleen, as well as the emotions that these organs represent. Students will be paired off to practice pressure points and energy work that help these organs function more efficiently.

This class is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the body and how to be a part of their own healing process.

KUNDALINI YOGA AND MEDITATION FOR THE STOMACH AND SPLEEN: Sunday, March 13th

When the stomach and spleen are out of balance, we have more worry and anxiety in our lives. In this class we will work with the physical and emotional aspects of these organs. We will do poses to increase digestion and balance the hormones. We will also utilize meditation to calm the central nervous system.

BALANCING THE BODY with ROSE FITZGERALD: Sunday, March 20th

Acupressure points for woman of all ages...a simple system to help regulate the monthly cycle, creating it to be symptom free and assisting the body to transition at whatever age...teenage, preparing for birth, easing into menopause.

Registration Fee: $25 per person until March 13th; $30 thereafter.
 

BOUND LOTUS YOGA AND MEDITATION with TARA FARLEY: Thursday, March 10th

Bound Lotus is a restorative posture that engages the entire body by binding it into a symbol of infinity. Like many yogic postures held for an extended period of time, Bound Lotus can help the body relax and release tension so that healing can take place. This class will be split into three parts: a half hour of Kundalini yoga, a half hour in the supported Bound Lotus pose, and a half hour of healing meditation and Savasana.

YOGA AND AYURVEDA with DR. APARNA BAPAT: Friday, February 25th

This introductory talk on Ayurveda covers the 3 Body/Mind types (Doshas), their characteristic imbalances, and a brief overview of how each type can maintain balance. Using reference to every-day dietary habits and lifestyle, as well as natural remedies, Dr. Bapat will illustrate the art of maintaining balance and staying disease-free from an Ayurvedic perspective.

This class is part of a series of classes to help us learn more about the internal organs and how they effect the external body.

We will learn the meridian lines and some yoga poses that correlate with the large intestine and lungs, as well as the emotions that these organs represent. Students will be paired off to practice pressure points and energy work that help these organs function more efficiently.

This class is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the body and how to be a part of their own healing process.
